ATHLETE'S FOOT
Finding the Natural Cure For The Common Foot Fungal Infection
You do not need to be an athlete to get athlete's foot. Also known as Tinea Pedis, athlete's foot is a fungus infection caused by a type of fungus known as dermatophytes. They breed and multiply in warm and damp places of which the feet can provide as an ideal environment. Dermatophytes also live off your dead skin cells which really make your feet the best area for them to thrive.
An athlete's foot infection is characterized by dry and scaly skin on the sides of the foot and can become itchy. Cuts and blisters may also develop which break the skin and leaves small raw skin areas exposed that can become painful. Such conditions usually occur right between the toes and can really become a very nagging problem.

Treating athlete's foot may require using topical or oral preparations to keep the fungus infection in check. There are also natural cures that you can make use to get rid of athlete's foot. One is by making use of a number of herbal therapies which has proven effective in treating athlete's foot.

One such method is the Ayurvedic therapy. Such a therapy aims to eliminate toxins in the body and increase immunity as well as soothe the senses by using a variety of herbal preparations. Although Ayurvedic therapy may employ spiritual methods as part of the treatment, nevertheless it has proven itself to help get rid of athlete's foot among other diseases believed to be caused by the disharmony and imbalance of different forces inside the body.

The ayurvedic remedy aims to lessen the tendency of your feet to perspire. Your perspiration can provide the dampness where the fungus may thrive on your foot. A way to make your feet perspire less can help reduce your chance of infection. The ayurvedic remedy does this by initially cleaning your foot area with about four to ten drops of tea tree oil.

A mixture of aloe vera gel with tumeric is also applied to the feet every morning and evening. This is done for two weeks after which, with some evident signs of improvement, the therapy is continued for another week.

There are also other natural remedies available to get rid of athlete's foot. Some ingredients easily found in the kitchen can help in trying to stop the fungus infection from getting worse. Garlic for one is seen as a good fungicide that can kill of the fungus causing the infection. Applying crushed garlic on your feet regularly may be able to help cure you from athlete's foot.

Bromohydrosis: AKA Smelly Feet Treatment and Prevention

Sweaty feet and smelly feet are two very common, annoying conditions of the feet. Medically they are usually referred to as hyperhydrosis and bromohydrosis. This can be not only embarrassing but uncomfortable as well. They can run people out of the room and even cause you to be chased away. Foul-smelling feet can also create a major crimp in the romance department. While some people can tolerate bad breath, there is something about foot odor that causes most people to run in a different direction.

But what is the cause of this problem.

The warm, moist environment inside shoes especially athletic shoes—promotes bacterial growth on the feet. The interaction between your perspiration and the bacteria that thrive in your shoes and socks generates the odor. So any attempt to reduce foot odor has to address both your sweating and your footwear. The bacteria that are often found in foot odor are usually corynebacterium and micrococcus species. Fortunately, foot odor can usually be controlled with simple measures. So here are some of them:

* Practice good foot hygiene to keep bacteria levels at a minimum

* Change your socks frequently, especially when you are exercising.

* Use benzoyl peroxide 5% or 10% gel applications to help decrease bacteria

* Dust your feet frequently with a non medicated baby powder or foot powder. Applying antibacterial ointment also may help.

* Allow shoes to air out at least 24 hours after use by alternating with other shoes.

* Avoid wearing nylon socks or plastic shoes. wear shoes made of leather, canvas, mesh or other materials that let your feet breathe

* Wear thick, soft socks to help draw moisture away from the feet. Cotton and other absorbent materials are best.

Home Remedies For Sweating Feet
For very sweating feet: sprinkle boric acid between your toes for a day and powder of oak bark for a night.

Put birch leaves between your toes ( you can wrap them ) and change the leaves twice a day.

Put birch bark under your feet.

The best remedy for sweaty and smelly feet: Wash you feet and dry them well. Take a pair of cotton socks and put in each sock about 1-2 oz of boric acid. Put the socks on and do not take them off for 3 days. Then wash your feet and wash your socks. For the first time this treatment will work for about 6 months. You will not have sweaty feet for 6 months. Then repeat the treatment again. This time it should last about 2 years. Then you need to do the treatment once in 3-5 years. Isn't it great? I tested it myself and it worked GREAT!
Home Based Remedy For Foot Odor

You take care of your feet by washing them regularly. You change your smelly socks at least once a day. Your shoes are well kept. But in spite of all this, your feet stink. Sometimes the condition is so bad that simply by removing the shoes, people around you know that you have smelly feet. The condition can be embarrassing, especially in the public. By following some simple tips, you can take care of your feet and avoid the problem of smelly feet.

The common home remedies for foot odor are:

• Apply the area with tea: Using a soak made from tea bags and applying it to the feet will eliminate the problem of smelly feet. This is because the tannic acid from the tea tans the skin. Take a couple of tea bags and boil them in the pint of water for 15 minutes. Then remove the tea bags and pour the pint of this strong, hot tea into the basin or a large pot and fill it with two quarts of cool water. Soak your feet for 30 minutes daily for seven or ten days and you will not experience the problem any longer.

• Use acne remover: If the feet really stink very badly, you suffer from toxic sock syndrome. In this case, you should look at your soles. If they are whitish in color with tiny pits, you are suffering from the condition called pitted keratolysis. The microorganism that causes this condition is the same one that causes acne, you can use over-the-counter acne medication with 10 percent benzoyl peroxide.

• Go for an antiperspirant: There are special foot deodorants to remedy the problem but they can be quite expensive. But you go in for any underarm antiperspirant, which is a cheaper alternative. Go for a roll-on that has aluminum chloride hexahydrate as the active ingredient. Use it twice a day. But avoid aerosols since all their smell is dissipated in the air.
