CELLULITE
What Is Cellulite?
Cellulite affects women almost exclusively. It consists of deposits of subcutaneous fats that can cause problems on the overlying skin. Lipodystrophy is the medical term of cellulite, also known as localized fat. Cellulite results from eating too much fatty food. Hormonal changes during pregnancy can also cause cellulite.

The "lumpy orange peel" look can be disgusting. Usually the main cause of this is female hormones. Some research shows that exercise and diet contribute a lot to the prevention of cellulite. Studies show that cellulite cannot be treated by hormone therapy, nor can it be eliminated by diet alone.

Around 90 percent of females display some degree of cellulite, whether they are overweight, underweight, or average. All women can have cellulite (it very rarely affects men), even slim women.

Cellulite is common enough that many women think of it as normal and natural. A woman s genes, age, body fat and skin texture are all factors in determining whether she will have cellulite.

The only effective way to prevent cellulite is the same as reducing fat: exercise. Jogging, cycling, walking, and swimming are good for the thighs, hips and buttocks. Massage for about 20 minutes daily to break down fats. By pinching the skin on your thigh or even on your hips, you can monitor whether you have cellulite or not. When it comes to men, testosterone deficiency can result in cellulite, though it rarely happens.

A lot of chemists have attempted to break cellulite down, but so far no products or medicines can make it go away completely, though some rub-on creams can help. Liposuction can help remove fat but not cellulite, and mesotherapy is only temporary.

Let s face it, looks are important. So if you don t want to have cellulite, try to decrease your body fat, exercise more and eat healthy, fiber-rich foods. Fresh air and low stress help, too.

Miracle Herbs That Melt Away Cellulite

Believe it or not, there are many herbs and spices that can help detoxify the liver and restore it to full function. Oftentimes, these herbs are multi-purpose and aid the body in combating a variety of different ailments. Who knew nature was so giving?

The reason that some herbs are so great at combating cellulite is that these
herbs are thermogenic, anti-inflammatory, or both. What that means is that they boost your metabolism so you burn fat more easily, and reduce inflammation at the cellular level, which has a noticeable effect on cellulite.

Incorporate at least a few of these herbs and spices into your diet, and you’ll be amazed at the results.

Milk Thistle

Milk thistle is perhaps the number one herb used in helping the liver and is
widely accepted in Europe as an effective treatment for liver disease. In 1986, Germany’s Commission E approved an oral extract of milk thistle to treat alcoholic hepatitis, alcoholic fatty liver, liver cirrhosis, and liver poisoning. It’s also used to protect the liver from the effects of medications that might prove to be toxic. Milk thistle is one of the few herbs that has no real equivalent in conventional medicine.

Varro E. Tyler, Ph.D., Sc. D., professor emeritus of pharmacology at Purdue
University states that “milk thistle can’t be beat as a liver protector”, (Duke 1999, p. 185). It’s been used for over 2000 years in the treatment of liver problems. The ancient Roman, Pliny suggested that milk thistle helped the liver carry away bile and the British herbalist Culpepper noticed how taking milk thistle helped in cases of jaundice and helped in removing liver obstructions.

So what is it that makes milk thistle so special? Researchers have found a certain compound in milk thistle called silymarin. Silymarin is an antioxidant that protects cells and inhibits the growth of tumors. Studies also suggested that silymarin protects and promotes the regeneration of liver cells. An Italian study showed silymarin reduced damage to liver cells caused by chronic use of some prescription drugs.

Silymarin strengthens the outer surface of the liver making it very difficult for
toxins to enter. It also encourages a reaction between enzymes that promotes
faster and more proficient regeneration of the liver cells. The faster old cells can be replaced, the more efficient the liver will be in the detoxification process.

Artichoke Extract

Artichoke extract is a close cousin to the milk thistle. It protects your liver and even helps to regenerate healthy cells in an already damaged liver. Like milk thistle, the use of artichoke has a storied history. As doctors in the Middle Ages began to recognize how important the liver was to overall health, they began to experiment using artichoke as a means of medicine and prevention.

The French use artichoke juice as a liver tonic and scientists from Switzerland and Japan have documented artichokes ability to break down fat and improve bile flow. As previously noted, the better the bile flow, the better the liver is able to rid the body of waste including fat globules.

Artichoke extract has been shown to enhance liver detoxification and protect it from the toxin damage. During the detoxification process, the toxic substances are often initially converted to an even more toxic form. Without enough protection from herbs like artichoke or milk thistle, every time the liver neutralizes a toxin, it gets damaged in the process.

Once again, it’s all about the liver and lymphatic systems being able to function at peak performance.

 HONEY MASSAGE

Honey massage is one of the best and most effective remedies for cellulite. It has been tested by many women of different ages and they all have had great success with it. Honey massage is an amazing rejuvenating treatment that also helps to cleanse your body from the toxic cellular waste products and lose inches around your thighs.

Cover your problem zone with a thin layer of honey (you will need about 2 tea spoons of honey for your hips and buttocks). Press your clean DRY hands to your skin covered with honey and tear them away.

Easy at first, tearing away your hands will become more difficult with every move because the tension force increases. The massage is slightly painful, yet very effective. When you press your hands on honey and "unglue" them, you get a vacuum effect that destroys cellulite. Honey massage improves blood circulation in your skin tissue and muscles and has a positive effect on your entire nervous system.

After the massage your skin should be red with a burning sensation. Also, you can get small bruises that will go away fast. Continue until honey turns white under your hands. The white pellets hold the cellular waste products and excess salts that have been released from your body during the massage. The total time of the massage should be 5 to 10 minutes. Then wash your skin with warm water and follow with your body moisturizer or anti cellulite cream.

Do this massage every other day for 1 month (you will need 15 procedures). You will start seeing the result after only the second procedure.

Another way to massage your cellulite zone is to use a cup or a glass jar. Cover your problem zone with a thin layer of honey and apply the cup to your skin using circular motions. Your skin is going to be sucked into the cup and you will get a vacuum effect. Tear away the cup from your body and apply the cup again to your skin using circular motions. If your skin is not sucking into the cup in some places, just press the cup to your body and push more skin under the cup using your finger.

Do not overdo it because this massage can leave bruises on your skin. Do this massage at least twice a week for 4-5 weeks.

Warning: Do not try honey massage, if you have varicose veins on the cellulite spot, you are pregnant or you are allergic to honey.

Also, try to eat the foods that do not have a lot of carbohydrates.

You can use the following mixes to make the honey massage even more effective:
- 2 tea spoons of honey + 5 drops of lemon essential oil + 2 drops of eucalyptus essential oil + 2 drops of lavender oil.
- 2 tea spoons of honey + 3 drops of lemon oil + 2 drops of orange oil + 2 drops of lavender oil + 3 drops of  juniper oil.
- 2 tea spoons of honey + 5 drops of lemon oil + 5 drops of orange oil
- 2 tea spoons of honey + 3 drops of lemon oil + 2 drops of lavender oil + 5 drops of mint oil.
First, you should mix the oils, then add honey and stir everything very well.

Try to stay in your bed under a thick blanket while you keep the mask on.

HEALTH TIPS

Shower: Take a shower where you alternate cold and hot water. This way you improve your blood micro circulation. Always go from your feet up to your heart. Finish with cold water.

Silicic acid: Silicic acid impedes crumbliness of connective tissue. You can get it with special supplements or millet.

Leek: leek is rich in iron, magnesium and calcium, the substances that split fat. Additionally, there are essential oils in leek that stimulate digesting and have a diuretic effect.

Healthy bowels: Prevent constipation. Eat foods rich in cellulose, take long walks and drink senna tea, if necessary.

Fight stress: If you are stressed or too excited, your body becomes too much oxidized. As a result, other bio-chemical processes in your body get  broken, which leads to changes in tissue functions. Consequently, stress promotes cellulite development.
