COLDS
How not to get sick
To prevent viruses take 3/4 of a gallon or 3 L jar of cranberries, 2 oranges and 1 lemon.  Grind everything, including the orange skin and the lemon skin; add 6-7 oz of honey (or 1/2 pound of sugar, if you have an allergic reaction to honey. If you have diabetes, use the honey), stir it and keep the mix in your refrigerator. Take 2-3 tbl spoons a day during the fall and winter. This mix has a lot of vitamins. Also, the aroma oils of the orange and lemon skins will strengthen your immune system and put you in a better mood. This remedy is especially good for children.

Prepare garlic oil: At night cut a piece of garlic into fine pieces, put them in a small bowl and add 1 tbl spoon of vegetable oil (it's better if you sterilize it. Hold the spoon with the oil above a lit candle until it's boiling). Leave it for a night. Filter the oil the next morning. Insert a few drops of the oil in each nostril every night before you go to bed. This will help to prevent nose and throat viruses.

If you already got sick, insert 3-4 drops of the oil in each nosdril 3 times a day.
Cold or Flu?

A cold and the flu (also called influenza) are alike in many ways. But the flu can sometimes lead to more serious problems, like the lung disease pneumonia.
A stuffy nose, sore throat, and sneezing are usually signs of a cold.

Tiredness, fever, headache, and major aches and pains probably mean you have the flu.
Coughing can be a sign of either a cold or the flu. But a bad cough usually points to the flu.

Symptoms of Cold and Flu
A cold often starts with feeling tired, sneezing, coughing and having a runny nose. You may not have a fever or you may run a low fever--just 1 or 2 degrees higher than usual. You may also have muscle aches, a scratchy or sore throat, watery eyes and a headache.

The flu starts suddenly and hits hard. You'll probably feel weak and tired, and have a fever, dry cough, a runny nose, chills, muscle aches, severe headache, eye pain and a sore throat. It usually takes longer to get over the flu than a cold.

Causes of colds and flu
Viruses. Over 100 different viruses can cause colds. There aren't as many viruses that cause the flu. That's why there's a shot for the flu and not for colds.

Try to Avoid Getting a Cold
-Wash your hands often. You can pick up cold germs easily, even when shaking someone's hand or touching doorknobs or handrails.
-Avoid people with colds when possible.
- If you sneeze or cough, do it into a tissue and then throw the tissue away.
-Clean surfaces you touch with a germ-killing disinfectant.
-Don't touch your nose, eyes or mouth. Germs can enter your body easily by these paths

Try to Avoid Getting The Flu
A flu shot can greatly lower your chance of getting the flu. The best time to get the shot is from the middle of October to the middle of November, because most people get the flu in the winter.
The shot can't cause the flu. But you may feel sore or weak or have a fever for a couple of days.

Help Yourself Feel Better While You Are Sick
A cold usually lasts only a couple of days to a week. Tiredness from the flu may continue for several weeks.
To feel better while you are sick:
- Drink plenty of fluids.
- Get plenty of rest.
- Use a humidifier -- an electric device that puts water into the air.
-A cough and cold medicine you buy without a prescription may help.

Angina
In the very beginning: chew 1/2 of a lemon with the skin very slowly. Do not eat anything for 1 hour after. Repeat it in 3 hours.

Mix 1/2 glass of water with 1 tea spoon of salt, add 1 tbl spoon of vinegar. Use it as a compress for your throat.

Mix 4 oz of honey with 1 tbl spoon of raspberry jam, put it in a pot and heat it on low heat stirring non stop.Turn the heat off right before it starts to boil, let it sit for 10 min and drink it. Go to bed right away. Do it a few times and angina will be gone.

If you got sick and lost your voice, boil 1/4 pound  of carrots in  20 oz of milk for 15 min, filter it and drink it during the day.

If you became hoarse, try this effective remedy: heat 1/2 glass of vodka, wet your cotton socks in it, squeeze them and put them on (apply a little bit of your foot cream before or your skin will start peeling). Put plastic bags on your wet socks and then put warm dry  socks on. Go to bed right after. The next morning your voice should come back.

If you cough a lot, mix 1 part carrot juice with 1 part honey and take 1-2 tbl spoons 2-3 times a day.

Mix 1 glass of turnip juice with 4 table spoons of honey. Heat it until it starts boiling, let it sit for 10  min. Take 2 table spoons 3-4 times a day.

Mix 2 tbl spoons of butter with 2 raw egg yolks, 1 tea spoon of flour and 2 tea spoons of honey. Take it before meal 4-5 times a day.

What to eat if you've got a cold or a flu virus:

A light protein diet
will help you to recover faster.

Eat cottage cheese, yogurt, boiled meat or fish or chicken, fruits and vegetables. Do not eat big portions.

It's very important to drink a lot. It will be good to drink  a few cups of freshly prepared green tea (green tea has anti inflammatory benefits). Drink fresh orange juice or a mix of  2/3 of a glass of carrot juice and 1/3 of a glass of beet juice.

Also, black tea with lemon and sugar or honey (you need glucose) will help to neutralize toxic substances in your body and tone you up because usually viruses are accompanied by low blood pressure, weakness and headaches.

The 24 Hour Prescription Free Bronchitis CureBronchitis occurs when the lining of your bronchial tract (the air tube that brings air to your lungs) becomes infected.
An infection occurs when microorganisms, usually from the air you breathe or develop from a cold or flu, cling to the lining of your bronchial tract and begin to multiply. As these bacteria multiply in numbers they begin to cause a significant irritation to the lining of your bronchial tract.
These tubes become swollen, and begin producing mucus (phlegm) to fight the irritation this causes.
Unfortunately, this mucus also causes difficulty breathing, wheezing and a nasty cough. The infection itself will give you flu like symptoms. The key to getting rid of your bronchitis is to find a way to completely eliminate the germs that are causing all the phlegm and irritation leading to your hoarking cough and heavy breathing.
