Always put on sunscreen or sun block before stepping out into the sun and make sure that the sun protection factor (SPF) is a pretty high number. If you do feel the need to get a little Vitamin D from the sun, do it in the morning between the hours of 7 and 9. It is also smart to have sunscreen on you while driving.
Gloves
Most of us do not use glove when handling harsh chemical such as detergents, bleach and cleaning agents. Some of these can burn your skin and cause rashes, and other can dry your skin out. It is a good idea to don some gloves to keep the damage to a minimal.
Use a hand cream
There are thousands of different hand care products out there, so finding one that works for you should not be too difficult. A good hand cream will not be too greasy and should protect your hands for an extended period of time. Apply this cream every time you wash your hands and also every morning and night. These treatments range from low intensity topicals such as medicated powders, creams and deodorants to more invasive therapies such as Botox, ETS, and Iontophoresis treatments. In the case of severe hand sweating, powders, creams, or deodorants, will generally not help you too much in curbing your condition, much less cure it. This does not mean that you should give up and learn to live with going through life without shaking hands since there are alternatives out there that may help.
First, let us look at the three more intensive treatments out there: Botox, ETS and Iontophoresis. These three have their proven benefits; however they are also a bit costly.
Botox injections are very convenient and seem to provide immediate relief to the individual. However, this solution is only temporary and injections are needed every three months. It also requires that you not be too afraid of big needles.
ETS is actually a surgical procedure in which your sweat glands are actually clipped away in order to stop palmer hyperhidrosis. Since it is a surgery, it does come with some medical risks. The surgeon actually will need to collapse your lungs in order to get to the affected sweat glands. Also, all that sweat then needs to go somewhere and 95% of patients report compensatory sweating on their torso, underarms, feet and face.
Iontophoresis is the least invasive of the three medical procedures and reportedly has no side effects. Iontophoresis is a transdermal delivery system in which a substance that bears a charge is propelled through the skin via a low electrical current. In this process you connect your hands to a device and then immerse them into two separate plates of tap water, letting them soak for around 20 minutes. You do this routine daily for one week ridding yourself of sweaty palms. Afterwards you only need to do one session every three weeks.
Other alternative methods
Drysol is a powerful antiperspirant that is available through
prescription only. You put on this extra strength topical once a night
before bedtime letting it air dry before going to bed.
Drysol, it should be noted, is extremely strong and may cause stinging
and irritation if used day after day. If this happens, it is suggested
that you only apply it every other day or so.Baking soda and water is a simple way to help get rid of your sweaty hand problem. First, fill a big plastic bowl with water then add plenty of baking soda until the water looks cloudy. Soak your hands in the solution for around twenty minute each day. Do this for a few days and you will notice a significant difference. This solution works because baking soda is an alkaline while your sweat is acidic and when they come into contact with each other a gas forms then instantly evaporates leaving your hands nice and dry. Repeat this treatment consecutively for a few days to keep your hands consistently dry.
Soaking your hands in a big bowl of sage tea is also a good way to condition your hands not to sweat because of the high level of tannic acid in the tea. Tannic acid is a natural astringent that will help dry out your hands. Just fill a big bowl full of water and add a 4 to 5 tea bags then soak your hands for twenty minutes. In a few days you will condition your palms not to sweat. While sage tea seems to work best, you can also try also types. This may also tan your skin a bit, but no worries, this will come out with soap and water.

3. Milk and lemon juice
Add lemon juice to a warm glass of milk, mix well and then apply to your hands. Leave this mixture on fo about ten minutes before rinsing it off. Avoid this recipe if you happen to have any cuts or wounds on your hand.
4. Oat flour hand mask
Mix one spoon each of oat flour, olive oil and glycerin into a glass of water. Mix well until you achieve a consistent paste. Apply this paste over hands with a massage and leave it for25 minutes before washing it off with warm water and a natural soap. This mask will help regenerate your hands and get rid of any redness.
5. Honey potato hand mask
Mix together one potato (peeled, boiled and mashed), two spoons of milk and two spoons of honey. Apply to the hand with a massage and leave on for 15 minutes before rinsing off with warm water and soap. This recipe will help nourish and rejuvenate your hands.
