MARSH CUDWEED

AKA: Gnaphalium uliginosum

The herb Gnaphalium uliginosum L. is an annual plant widely used in Russian and Bulgarian phytotherapy in the treatment of hypertension, thrombophlebitis, phlebothrombosis and ulcers. Decoction and infusion of G. uliginosum are known to possess anti-inflammatory, astringent, and antiseptic properties. Oil extracts are used in the treatment of laryngitis, upper respiratory catarrh and tonsillitis.











HOME REMEDIES USING MARSH CUDWEED

Marsh Cudweed is used for festering wounds, ulcers and burns, sometimes in the treatment of patients with peptic ulcer, as well as in the initial stages of pulmonary hypertension.

The therapeutic effect of marsh cudweed is attributed to the complex influence of vitamins and other substances contained in the plant and mainly pro-vitamin A - carotene, possessing the ability to increase the immunobiological properties of the body in various pathological processes.
  • Infusion of Marsh Cudweed: Add 1 table spoon of crushed leaves and thin stems to 1 cup of boiling water, let it sit for two hours and drink 1/2 cup 3-4 times a day.
  • Powder made of marsh cudweed leaves without thorns - Take 1 teaspoon 3 times a day. Fresh juice of raw herb - take 1 teaspoon 3 times a day.
