Fruit And Vegetable Juices - An Alternative To Pills

This cocktail will tone you up: mix the juice of 6 carrots, 1/2 beet and 3 bunches of parsley.

For a common cold:
- Prepare a cocktail from the juice of 1 orange, 1/2 lemon with skin and 1/4 glass of mineral water.
- Another recipe: mix the juice of 5 carrots, 1 apple and a piece of ginger.
To strengthen your immune system:
- Make a cocktail from the juice of a few slices of pineapple and a couple pieces of celery.
- Try a mix of the juice of 1/2 tomato, 1/4 cabbage and a big bunche of celery.
- Prepare a cocktail from the juice of 5 carrots, 1 apple and a bunch of parsley.

To support your eyesight: Mix the juice of 6 carrots and 1/4 cabbage.

More cocktails:
- A mix of Brussel sprouts, carrot, lettuce and kidney bean juices will help to restore the pancreas function, which is very important if you have diabetes.
- A mix of cabbage and carrot juices will restore your stomach mucous membrane. Also, it will cleanse your body and help you lose weight.
- A mix of raw potato, carrot and celery juices will help with digestion and nervous disorders.
- A mix of beet and carrot juices will improve your memory,  enlarge your blood vessels and stimulate the formation of red blood corpuscles.
- Raw tomato juice stimulates the formation of stomach juice and improves heart activity. If you mix tomato juice with apple juice, pumpkin juice and lemon juice ( 2:4:2:1 ), it will help you lose weight.
- A mix of carrot, beet and cucumber juices is a great remedy for cleansing your liver, gall bladder and prostate gland.
- Drink 1/2 glass of carrot juice 2-3 times a day, if you had a heart attack.
- A mix of carrot juice with honey will help men with impotency.
- Drink a mix of carrot and potato juices daily before breakfast, if you have a stomach ulcer.
- Mix 1 glass of carrot juice, the juice of 1 lemon, 1 glass of horseradish juice and 1 glass of honey. Take 1 table spoon 3 times a day 1 hour before each meal and then 1 table spoon of the mix 2-3 hours after each meal. It will help with high blood pressure.

Rheumatism: Grapes, orange, lemon, grapefruit, tomato, cucumber, beet, carrot and spinach.
Stomach Ulcers: Apricot, grapes, cabbage and carrot.
Sinus Trouble: Apricot, lemon, tomato, carrot, onion and radish.
Sore Throat: Apricot, grapes, lemon, pineapple, prune, tomato, carrot and parsley.
Tonsillitis: Apricot, lemon, orange, grapefruit, pineapple, carrot, spinach and radish.
Varicose Veins: Grapes, orange, plum, tomato, beetroot carrot and watercress.
When on a raw juice therapy, the prescribed juice should be drunk every three hours. One can thus take juices five to six times a day. A glass of water mixed with lemon juice and 20 to 30 grams of honey may be taken first thing in the morning on arising.

Thereafter, the prescribed juice may be taken at three-hourly intervals. The quantity of juice on each occasion may be 250 ml on the first day. This quantity may be increased by 50 ml each succeeding day till one takes 600 ml on each occasion. The juice diet can be continued for 30 to 40 days without any ill-effects. The patient should take adequate rest during the raw juice therapy.

Raw juices act as a cleansing agent and start eliminating toxins and morbid matter from the system immediately. This often results in symptoms such as pain in the abdomen, diarrhea, loss of weight, headache, fever, weakness, sleeplessness and bad breath.

These reactions, which are part of the cleansing process, should not be suppressed by the use of drugs. They will cease when the body is able to expel all toxins.

After the raw juice therapy, the return to normal balanced diet should be gradual, and in stages.

In the beginning, two juice meals may be replaced by milk and fruits. Then gradually juice meals may be substituted by a balanced-diet.

The Health Benefits Of Goji Juice
The goji berry hails from the eastern Asia region where it is held with much reverence as a powerful food and has been used for healing, nutrition and medicinal purposes in traditional Chinese medicine for at least 1900 years. Precautions When Using Raw Juices

Certain precautions are, however, necessary in adopting an exclusive diet of raw juices.
Firstly, all juices should be made fresh immediately before drinking. Canned and frozen juices should not be used. It will be advisable that one should have one’s own juicer for extracting fresh juices.
Secondly, only fresh ripe fruits and vegetables, preferably organically grown, should be used for extraction of juices.
Thirdly, only as much juice as needed for immediate consumption should be extracted. Raw juices oxidise rapidly and lose their medicinal value in storage, even under refrigeration.
Fourthly, the quality of the juices has a distinct bearing on the results obtained. In case of incomplete extraction of juices, their effective power is proportionately reduced due to the absence of the vitamins and enzymes which are left behind in fibre and the pulp.
Finally, if juices are too sweat they should be diluted in water on 50 : 50 basis or mixed with other less sweet juices. This is especially important in some specific conditions such as diabetes, hypoglycemia, arthritis and high blood pressure.

Fruit and vegetable juices may be divided into six main types. These are:
(i) Juices from sweet fruits such as prunes and grapes.
(ii) Juices from sub-acid fruits like apple, plum, pear, peach, apricot and cherry,
(iii) Juices from acid fruits like orange, lemon, grapefruit, strawberry and
(iv) Juices from vegetable fruits, namely, tomato and cucumber.
(v) Juices from green leafy vegetables like cabbage, celery, lettuce, spinach, parsley and watercress.
(vi) Juices from root vegetables like beetroot, carrot, onion, potato and radish.
Generally speaking, fruit juices stir up toxins and acids in the body, thereby stimulating the eliminative processes. Vegetable juices, on the other hand, soothe the jaded nerves and work in a much milder manner. They carry away toxic matter in a gentle way. Owing to their differing actions fruit and vegetable juices should not be used at the same time or mixed together.
It is desirable to use juices individually. In any case not more than three juices should be used in any one mixture.

HEALTH TIPS
If you have a stuffy nose, insert a few drops of carrot juice in each nostril every hour. Also, you can try the mix of 1 part carrot juice, 1 part vegetable oil and a few drops of lemon. Insert the mix in each nostril a few times a day.
If you have an angina, prepare a mix of carrot juice and honey, add some water. Gargle your throat a few times a day.
If you have a cough, you can cook the carrot syrup ( boil carrot juice with some sugar ). Or Just mix raw carrot juice with honey ( 1:1 ) and take 1 table spoon of the mix 4-5 times a day.
If you have bronchitis, laryngitis, tracheitis, pneumonia or a dry cough, try this great remedy. Especially it will help children. Mix 1 part raw carrot juice with 1 part milk. You can also add some honey. Take 1 table spoon of the mix 5-6 times a day.
If your gums are inflamed or you have stomatitis, gargle your mouth with carrot juice.
If you get a burn, mix 1 part cabbage juice with 1 raw egg white.  Apply the mix on your burnt area.
If you have a wound that is not healing, rub some cabbage juice into your tender spot.
If you have rheumatism: 1) mix 1 glass of asparagus juice with 1 table spoon of honey. Take the mix 3 times a day ( 3 glasses for a day )
2) Mix 1/2 glass nettle juice with 1 table spoon of honey. Take the mix 3 times a day.
