POOR VISION

Poor visionHealthy dieting is very important for your eyesight. Vitamin A is the key to solving many eye problems. You will know that you do not get enough vitamin A, if you feel that your night vision is getting worse. You can get beta carotene ( your body converts beta carotene into vitamin A) with yellow and orange fruits and vegetables (apricots, mangoes, sweet potatoes, zucchini and carrots) and green vegetables (spinach and cabbage)

Glaucoma is caused by increased eye pressure and is connected with lack of thiamine and vitamin A. It is a very common disease in people older than 40. See your doctor if you experience unclear vision, night blindness and if you see a rainbow around bright light. Try dieting and home remedies only as an addition to treatments prescribed by your doctor. You can get thiamine with meat, chicken, nuts, peas and cereal. Other sources of vitamin A are poultry and eggs.

A cataract is the clouding of the lens of the eye. It could be a result of the oxidation process in the lens of the eye. Increase the amount of vitamin C you get with food. Also riboflavin will help with cataracts. You can get it with milk, yeast and whole grains.

People who suffer diabetes can get an edema of the retina which is a reason for losing eyesight in some cases. Vitamin C will help protect your eyes in this case.

You can get redness and sharp pain in your eyes, if you do not get enough B  vitamins.
What food is good for your eyes?

Spinach has vitamins B1, B2, C, P, PP, K, E, proteins, carotene, amino acids. Eating 3 oz of spinach a day prevents the dystrophy of the eye retina. Eat it fresh or steamed with olive oil or sour cream.
Blueberries have vitamins A, C and B, iron, copper, cobalt and manganese.
Eating 3-4 oz of blueberries a day improves blood circulation in the eye retina, increases the sharpness of your vision and prevents cataract of the eye and glaucoma. It also helps to prevent hemorrhoids, stomach ulcers, cancer and cardiovascular diseases.
Low fat milk has riboflavin ( vitamin B2), calcium and vitamin D. Drinking 2 glasses of low fat milk a day or putting it in cereal helps with your night vision and seeing colors better.
Carrots have beta-carotene, iodine, manganese, iron, calcium and phosphorus.
Eating 1 medium sized carrot a day will support creating and growing new cells and improve your vision. Eat it with vegetable oil or sour cream.
Eggs have protein and lutein. Eating 1 egg a day prevents getting cataracts and protects the eye nerves.
Beef has protein, vitamins B, A, C and PP, potassium, iron and zinc. Eating 6-7 oz of beef will increase your vision sharpness.
Apricots have vitamins B, beta-carotene, vitamins H (biotin), C and E, phosphorus and cellulose. Eating 2-3 dry or fresh apricots a day will keep your eye capillaries healthy.
Beets have phosphorus,  sodium, manganese, iodine, vitamins C, B1, B2, PP, E, U, folic acid and carotenoids. Eating 3-4 oz of raw or boiled beets ( or drinking beet juice) a day will help with tired eyes and cleanse your blood.
Wild Rose has vitamins C, P, B1, B2, A, K, E, sodium, calcium, manganese, iron and organic acids. Drinking 1 glass of wild rose tea a day will promote durability and elasticity of eye vessels.

Hawthorn has vitamins C, A, B, pectin substances, flavonoids and carotenoids.
Drinking 1 glass of hawthorn tea a day ( or grind dry fruits and mix the hawthorn flour with honey) will help with nearsightedness and promote healthy blood circulation.

Parsley has calcium, phosphorus, beta carotene, potassium and vitamins C and B. Eating 1-1 1/2 oz of parsley a day will help with cataracts, conjuctivitis, eye cornea ulceration and eye nerve diseases. It will also strengthen your immune system and improve your metabolism.

Home Remedies

Glaucoma: This is a very effective remedy, but you will get the best results if you do it in May using herbs from the new season. Mix 1/2 glass of nettle and 1 tea spoon of lilly of the valley flowers, add 1 glass of water and let it sit for 8-9 hours in a dark place, then add 1/2 tea spoon of baking soda. Use the mix for compresses.

Cataract:
In the very beginning these compresses will be very helpful: put 1 tea spoon of honey in 1 glass of water and boil it for 5 min.

Sty: If you get sty often, drink 1 tea spoon of aloe juice twice a day for 20 days.

This remedy will help if you are losing your eyesight, have tired eyes, or want better blood circulation. Also it will stimulate your eye function. Prepare 1 glass of very warm water and 1 glass of cold water. Take the glass with hot water and try to dip your eye in the water, open it and make movements with your eye and your lid. Do it for 5-10 sec. Then repeat the same exercise for the same eye in the cold water. Then do the same exercises in the same order with your other eye. You can repeat these exercises a few times with each eye but always finish with cold water. Also every day try to increase the time of each exercise. In 1-2 months you should do it up to 5 min for each eye.

Take a few cabbage leaves, wash them in cold water and boil them until they become very soft. Let it sit and eat the leaves 3-4 times a day, drinking the water left from boiling. This will help if you are losing your eyesight.

Take an empty beer bottle, put it on the floor and roll it with your toes, especially focusing on massage of 2nd and 3rd toes, for 8-10 min. (you can do it even while you are watching TV or reading). This massage will improve your poor vision.

For poor vision:
Mix 30 ml of chicory leaves juice, 30 ml of parsley juice, 30 ml of celery juice and 30 ml of carrot juice/. Drink the mix on empty stomach every day during the summer (as long as you will  be able to find fresh herbs). Some people completely took off their glasses after a course of the treatment.

Natural Vision Correction - Do Eye Exercises Work?

Is there a way to improve you vision through a serious of eye exercises and do away with your need of glasses or contact? Well, apparently there is.

You may have heard about natural vision correction already, but wrote it off as a myth since you eye doctor never brought it up. But, if you think about it, why would a eye doctor tell you of a natural way to correct your poor vision? If they did, what would you need them for? There is such a thing as exercises that will help you to naturally improve your vision and studies that prove that it really works!

Natural vision Correction: What it is

Just like everything else in your body that is able to move, your eyes have a series of internal muscles that enable it to focus. And just like you can lift weights to improve the performance of your arms muscles and run to increase the strength of your legs, there are focusing exercises that you can do to increase the performance of your eyes. Over the course of our lives, our eyes muscles weaken and our eyesight becomes worse. While some of this is due to natural aging, other eye stress factos such as staring at a computer screen all day or even a dependency on eye wear has been shown to make these muscles weaker over time resulting in blurred and distorted vision.

Natural vision correction exercises are a way to help you strengthen these eye muscles and help you redirect your point of focus. By building up these weak muscles, you will find yourself able to see clearly without the aid of glasses and you will also prevent further eye muscle deterioration.

But does it really work?

According to a study done my  two optometrists (Irwin and Petito: Journal of the American Optometric Association in 1986) Eye exercises had a 96 percent success rate with 53 percent of the 96 patients  reporting that their eye “symptoms were totally eliminated”. This study went on to say that “there is an impressive and increasing bodyof evidence attesting to the trainability of accommodative function.”

Conclusion

If you do not like the way you look in glasses and  have been considering Lasik or some other type of eye surgery, then perhaps you should first consider natural vision correction. Imagine, getting the same results that laser eye surgery will give you for little or no cost.

HEALTH TIP

You can save your vision and even improve it with special exercises because you can train any part of your body where you have muscles. And there are muscles in your eyes. Try these effective exercises:

Warming your eyes with your hands. Close your eyes and put your hands on them without touching the eyes themselves. Focus and feel the warmth coming from the center of your hands to your eyes. Direct the warmth to your eyes for 60 seconds.
Rolling your eyes. Close your eyes and roll them slowly in this order: up,  right, down, left , then in the opposite direction. Repeat each direction 5-10 times. Then  slightly massage your lids with your fingertips. Then open your eyes and blink a few times very fast.
Horizontal eye movements. Hold your left arm in front of you and focus your eyes on the nail of the middle finger. Move your arm to the left (your left shoulder and your left arm should be on a straight line) and at the same time follow your arm with your eyes without turning your head. Then move your left arm to the right. Follow it with your eyes. Repeat the same exercise with your right arm. Do it slowly, 5 times with each arm.
Focusing your eyes on your hand. Hold your right arm in front of you and focus your eyes on the nail of your middle finger. Move your hand slowly close to your nose, then slowly move it away. Follow the nail of your middle finger with your eyes all the time. Repeat the same exercise with your left arm. Do it 10-15 times.

BEAUTY TIP

Boil 1 potato with the skin, mash it in a saucer and add 1 tea spoon of sour cream. Apply the warm mask under your eyes and leave it for 20 min. Wash it off with cool water. Follow with your eye cream. This will help with eye wrinkles and flabbiness.
