REASONS TO QUIT

As we all know, smoking is really bad for you and quitting is the only smart option out there. The scientific evidence against tobacco is just way too overwhelming for any smoker to actually believe that their habit is good for them in any way whatsoever. 

When cigarette smoking cessation aids do not work for you, perhaps you need to get the help needed to quit for good by signing up for addiction treatment programs.

But, in case common sense is not enough, here are some astounding facts about quitting from the United States Surgeon General.
  • 12 hours after you quit smoking, the carbon monoxide level in your blood drops to normal.
  • Your blood circulation will improve and your lung function will increase within two weeks to three months after quitting.
  • Several months after you quit smoking, the tiny hair like structures called cilia which help move mucus out of the lungs will regain normal function, helping clean the lungs and reduce risk of infection. Shortness of breath and coughing will also decrease.
  • Your risk of heart disease will be cut in half within a year after quitting.
  • Your risk of having a stroke will fall back down to the level of a nonsmoker within 5 to 15 years of quitting smoking.
  • Your risk of dying from lung cancer is cut in half after 10 years and your risk of mouth, throat, esophagus, bladder, cervix and pancreatic cancer also decreases.
  • Your risk of heart disease will be the same as a nonsmoker after 15 years.
Besides all of these life saving facts concerning quitting, here are seven more reasons to butt out cigarettes.
  • Better breath; quitting cigarettes will reduce halitosis.
  • Nicer teeth: Cigarettes stain your teeth and help cause cavities. Quitting will help get your teeth whiter and healthier.
  • Looking and smelling better: quitting smoking will help you with your personal hygiene, making your clothes and hair smell better.
  • No more yellowish skin:  That yellowish tinge that has formed on your fingers and fingernail will dissipate after quitting smoking.

HOME REMEDIES TO QUIT SMOKING

Take 1 table spoon of ground oats ( not oatmeal ), add 2 cups of boiled water and leave it for a night. The next morning boil the mix for 5-10 min. Drink it during the day 2-3 hours after meals. Do not drink it after 9 p.m. This extract cleanses your body from tobacco toxins and helps you to recover.

Take 1 part of hop cones and add 4 parts of vodka. Dissolve 5-7 drops in 1 table spoon of water and drink it 2 times a day ( before lunch and before you go to bed).

Take 1 table spoon of eucalyptus leaves, add 2 glasses of boiling water, let it sit for 1 hour, filter it and add 1 table spoon of honey and 1 table spoon of glycerin. Drink 50 ml of the mix 5-7 times a day for 3-4 weeks.

Every time you want to smoke, chew 1-2 slices of dried pineapple with 1/2 tea spoon of honey.
Prepare cheese sticks. Cut cheese in cigarette size pieces and let them dry. Put the sticks in a cigarette box. When you want to smoke, take a cheese stick from the box and chew it.

This recipe came from a woman who had smoked for 20 years and even had to get up at night to smoke. She was given this remedy by a woman-herbalist. She did not quite believe in it, but gave it a try. On the SECOND day she did not want to smoke at all. She completely quit smoking after 1 week.
The maximum length of the treatment is 30 days. If you feel that you do not want to smoke anymore earlier, you should still continue the treatment for 5 more days, like in this case, where the woman did not want to smoke on the second day but continued the treatment for 5 more days, which is 1 week total.
The remedy has been tried by the woman's husband, her relatives and friends and they all quit smoking.
You will quit smoking, too, if you follow the directions very strictly, as this is extremely important.

Preparation:
Take 20 g of dry ground eucalyptus leaves (any grocery store should sell them in the spices section or you can check a natural food store or get it online), add 1 L of boiling water and let it sit for 1 hour. Then add 30 g (1 oz) of natural honey to the extract and stir the mix carefullly. Take 1 table spoon of the extract 3 times during that day just to check if you get an allergic reaction to it. If after 3 times you feel ok, you can use this remedy.
Now you can add 10 g of glycerine, stir everything well and keep it in a covered glass jar in your refrigerator.
Shake the jar every time before taking the mix.

Days 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25 - The same dose, only before each cigarette.

Days 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 - the same dose, after each cigarette.
