STRAWBERRY DIET
Strawberries are rich in ascorbic and folic acids, carotin, and the following organic acids: apple acid, salicil acid, lemon acid and quinine acid. They are also rich in  phytoncids, iron, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium and cobalt.

In 1 week you will lose 5-7 pounds. This diet will rejuvenate your body and help your digestive tract.
Breakfast:
First choice: 1 glass of low fat milk (or yogurt, or 4 oz of low fat cottage cheese), 3/4 pound of strawberries, 1 tea spoon of sugar( for strawberries or drinks), tea or coffee.
Another choice: 1 boiled egg, 3/4 pound of strawberries, 1 tea spoon of sugar, coffee or tea.
Another choice: 5 tbl spoons of oatmeal, 3/4 pound of strawberries, tea spoon of sugar, tea or coffee.

Brunch:

Small sandwich: 1 oz of bread, butter, a piece of cheese or 1/2 chicken breast or a piece of turkey meat,
tea or coffee, a bowl of salad + either dill, green onion or parsley.

Lunch:

Light vegetable soup, vegetable salad ( dressing: lemon juice + 1 tbl spoon of vegetable oil )
Chicken breast or 3/4 pound of fish.
Desert: 3/4 pound of strawberries + 1 tea spoon of sugar.
Tea or coffee or 1/2 glass of white dry wine.

Snack:

3/4pound of strawberries + 1 tea spoon of sugar or strawberry jelly ( no whipped cream!)

Dinner:

Fruit salad: 1 pound of strawberries + 1 tea spoon of sugar. Tea or coffee. You can eat 1/2 banana a day.

Before you go to bed: 1/2 glass of low fat yogurt. Nothing else!

Healthy Strawberry Smoothies

 Preparation time: 5 minutes Servings: 2

 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 2-1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 teasp vanilla extract
Directions:
  1. Pick 2 perfect strawberries from the crowd. Freeze the rest.
  2. Look at the strawberry. Smell it. How sweet! No wonder it’s one of the most favorite fruits.
  3. Pour everything else into a blender or food processor. Blend until silky pink, the color of ballerina’s slippers. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  4. Garnish the glasses with the perfect strawberries. Eat one - I know it’s irresistible. Cut the other one in half for garnishing.
Tips:
  • In case you are wondering, frozen strawberries (vs fresh ones) make the smoothie thicker.
  • Reduce the amount of milk by half or add a scoop of ice cream to get a thicker texture.
  • If you don’t like yogurt, replace with 1 cup of milk.
  • Replace the sugar with 1.5 tablespoon honey to make the drink even healthier!

Strawberry - Not Just A Beautiful Fruit

Kiwi Cucumber Strawberry Facial Cleanser - Blend 5 to 6 strawberries, 1 kiwi, peeled and 1/2 cucumber to a smooth paste, not a runny mixture. If the mixture is slightly runny, add bit of oatmeal until the potion is of proper consistency. Apply to your face and neck area with gentle massage to exfoliate the skin. Let the paste settle on your skin for 10 minutes and then rinse well with warm water. Your skin will feel fresh and clean.

Strawberry Facemask - Combine 2 or 3 ripe strawberries with 2 tbsp of finely grounded oats and 1 drop of lemon essential oil to form a paste. Spread the paste on to the face and neck area with fingertips. Relax for 20 minutes. Rinse off with cool water followed by a toner and moisturizer. The pieces of strawberry seeds aid in the skin treatment process.

Antioxidant mask with Strawberry and Papaya starring - ½ papaya, 4 strawberries, 1 tbsp rolled oats, 1 tsp honey and 1 tsp fresh lemon juice. Grind the oats, blend papayas and strawberries until smooth and warm honey until it is flowing freely. Combine and mix well all the ingredients. Apply this mixture on the face and let it remain for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water followed with moisturizer.

For beautiful and radiant skin - mash 1 or 2 strawberries mixing it with water to form a smooth paste. Apply the paste on your face, neck overnight. Rinse it in the morning.

Face Lifting Face Pack - 3 to 4 strawberries, 5-6 grapes, 1/2 pear, 1/2 apple and 1 ounce of orange juice. Before putting this paste on apply a coat of honey which is later on covered with this fruit mixture. Leave it for 30 minutes and then rinse it with lukewarm water. For the final rinse use vinegar to give your face, a perfect lift.

Strawberry Mask - 4 to 5 strawberries, 1 tbsp. milk and 1 tbsp. cornstarch. Mix all the three ingredients to make a paste to be applied on your face for 20 minutes. Rinse it first with warm water, then cold water. You can better this pack by using a mild astringent and then use a light moisturizer. You can use this pack for week.

If you sweat a lot
, drink tea from strawberry leaves instead of water.

For dandruff: pour 1 glass of boiling water on 2 oz of strawberry leaves and leave it for 30 min. You can use it for compresses or rinsing your hair after washing it.

Strawberries are great for dark spots, freckles and skin discoloration. They also help with acne and wrinkles.

For discolorations apply 1 part strawberry pulp mixed with 1 part egg yolk ( for dry/normal skin ) or1 part  egg white ( for oily skin ) on your skin for 30 min.
 

For very oily skin prepare this lotion: mix 1 glass of strawberries and 10 oz of vodka. Pour it in a bottle and let it stay for 30 days. Then filter it and add 10 oz of water. Rub your face with this lotion after cleansing.  Follow with your moisturizer.

Nourishing revitalizing mask for any skin type: mix 3 mashed strawberries with 1 tea spoon of honey. Clean your face and tap the mask with your fingers. Rinse it in 15-20 min. Follow with your moisturiser.
